EXPECT DELAYS if using the Avalon Boulevard Bridge in the next couple of weeks.  Repair work is being performed on the bridge's concrete surface, and traffic is reduced to one alternating lane during the hours of 10am to 8pm Monday to Thursday.  No lane closures are permitted on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, to allow weekend traffic to flow normally

BOATING SAFETY CERTIFICATES are required for those operating boats in New Jersey waters.  A Safe Boating course will be offered at the Stone Harbor Elementary School this Saturday, June 21, from 9:30am to 5:30pm.

FARMER'S MARKET: look for a new farmer's market to be held each Sunday at the 95th Street parking lot under the water tower in Stone Harbor, beginning in late June or early July.  The market will offer fruits and vegetables grown in New Jersey.  The opening of the farmer's market has been delayed due to a cool, wet spring, which delayed the growing season, according to council members.

OCEAN DRIVE REPAIRS: the Ocean Drive Bridge over Great Channel linking Stone Harbor with North Wildwood via Nummy Island, will undergo repairs beginning tomorrow.  Repairs will take place from 7am to 4pm Monday through Friday, and will improve the bridge's load carrying ability.  Traffic will be reduced to one alternating lane until repairs conclude on or about June 27.
