AVALON'S BEACHFILL
project, initiated on an emergency basis to
improve eroded north-end beaches, will be complete by the July
4th holiday weekend. Pumping of sand from Townsend's Inlet
began on June 24th at 9th Street, with work moving southward to
18th Street.
AVALON'S HISTORICAL SOCIETY & MUSEUM
may merge with the Avalon
Library. Under a proposed agreement, the Library would take
over operation of the Museum on 39th Street, while the
Historical Society would continue to oversee historical
materials. The agreement would shift the costs of operating the
museum to the library.
GOING FAST:
the Oceanview at Avalon condos have been selling
quickly, with seven units sold this past Saturday alone. The
new condominium features one and two-bedroom units in the
